These decidedly retro, space-themed prints will add a touch of whimsy to your favorite star-gazers room. As seen in the April 2008 issue of Parents Magazine, these are John Golden's most popular illustrations from his Lunastrella Series: the Robot, the Space Station and the Flying Saucer. The Robot Stand's in front of a green background with one "arm" outstretched. The words "I fear nothing but Rust/system failure/and obsolescence" add a touch of wry humor. The Flying Saucer is shown on an orange ground with the words "for years he searched the skies for an answer" while the Space Station in cream and blue simply says "on a station in space." The prints evoke the 1950s era of comic books, Sputnik and tin toys. Images are reproduced on archival paper and packed in a cello bag with flawboard backing. Unmatted. Set of three prints. Measure 5 x 7 inches each. Signed and dated.

About the Artist
John W. Golden began his career as a professional artist at age of 11 in the late 70's with a series of linoleum block prints. He's been making art ever since. After university, John worked on projects for Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Animal Planet, HGTV, TNT, TBS and other major cable networks. John is a prolific artist with a wry sense of humor and penchant for retro. Plus, he's just a cool guy!
